80in Used Wooden Shipping Crate – Reinforced Corners

Overview

Keep machinery, tools, and fabricated components contained in a used wooden shipping crate designed for industrial handling. Reinforced corners, a braced base, and four-way skid entry support practical movement through loading docks and storage areas.

The static load capacity is up to 2,500 lb (1,134 kg). That figure describes a stationary load, rather than a separate transport or lifting rating. Moderate stacking is supported when weight is distributed uniformly.

Materials & Build Quality

Kiln-dried Southern Yellow Pine or equivalent hardwood forms the crate structure. Tongue-and-groove panels provide a smooth outer surface, while vertical bracing helps support the sidewalls. Reinforced corner blocks and cleats strengthen key handling points.

Coated, hardened steel ring shank nails secure the assembly. Integrated skid runners spread the contained load across the base and provide access for handling equipment. The removable lid combines a gasket with cross supports to help reduce dust and moisture entry. The unit is heat-treated and ISPM 15 compliant.

Prepare firm, level, well-drained ground for placement. Leave sufficient access for the delivery truck and crane, with a clear unloading area and no low overhead lines. Plan space around the crate for handling equipment and lid removal.
