Overview

Keep tools, materials, and overflow inventory together in a substantial enclosed storage space. This used 40-foot container carries a Wind & Watertight grade, with inspected door seals and a shell that keeps out ordinary rain and wind. It offers a practical ground-level storage solution for commercial properties, job sites, and industrial yards.

Expect visible signs of previous service, including scratches, dents, and surface rust. These cosmetic marks are consistent with its used condition; inspection found no daylight-producing holes through the walls, roof, or floor. This is a storage-grade unit, not a container rated for ocean transport.

Materials & Build Quality

The corrugated weathering-steel shell provides a durable enclosure. Its original exterior paint remains, with green or brown coloring that may vary by unit. The interior has a worn wooden floor and faded green finish.

Marine-grade plywood rests on steel cross-members beneath the floor. Bare steel walls and ceiling leave the interior straightforward and open for storage. At one end, double doors use steel locking bars, forged ratchets, and rubber gaskets to draw the doors closed against their seals.

Wind-and-watertight protection applies to normal weather exposure, not submersion or pressurized water.

Prepare firm, level, well-drained ground for placement. Allow clear access for the delivery truck and crane, including room to maneuver and position the container. Keep the approach and lifting area free of low overhead lines.
