Overview

The 2005 Sundowner Sunlite combines a two-horse straight-load layout with a separate front dressing room. This used horse trailer brings together a steel frame, aluminum exterior skin, and Rumber flooring for a practical hauling setup. Consider it for trips to lessons, trailheads, or equestrian events.

Layout & Design

The front dressing room separates riding gear from the horse area. Its short wall measures approx. 2 ft (0.61 m), while the long wall measures approx. 7 ft (2.13 m). That arrangement provides a dedicated place for storing saddles, bridles, and travel essentials without placing them in the horse compartment.

The box length is approx. 12 ft (3.66 m). Outside width and interior height each measure approx. 7 ft (2.13 m). Check individual horse fit rather than relying on overall measurements alone.

Materials & Build

A steel frame supports the aluminum skin, pairing structural steel with a rust-resistant exterior material. The Rumber floor provides a rot-resistant surface with cushioning underfoot.

The supplied axle and gross weight ratings need verification before determining towing requirements or usable payload. Brake operation, lighting, floor condition, and tire age also merit inspection on a trailer of this age.
